Trails were on great condition and the rentals were good quality. Prices were fair, staff was friendly. Will definitely be going back. Really hope their new mtb trail comes to fruition!

This place is amazing! We drive up from southern Indiana for a cross country skiing trip as often as we can. They have a wide variety of groomed trails, both classic and skate for all skill levels. They offer lessons. The owners and team working at Forbush are so unbelievably friendly and helpful. We had a blast again this year!

Pulling into Forbush Corner Cross-Country Skiingg in Frederic, Michigan felt like stepping into a winter postcard that came to life. The trails were absolutely buttery smooth, miles on miles of sliding & gliding while a light blizzard rolled in turning the whole day into what seemed like a movie while filming without slowing me down too much. Every twist and turn uncovered snow loaded pines standing tall and welcoming, framing the trail like a tunnel. The hills were playful and perfectly spaced, giving that heart pounding rush on the descents and a rewarding burn on the climbs. Add in the welcoming, knowledgeable staff who make you feel like like you’ve been going there for decades the moment you arrive, and it’s impossible not to say the trip was 100% worth it. A pure Michigan winter adventure at its finest! #ADVENTURESwithHAYES

Great place to go XC skiing! Trails are always well groomed and there are lots to choose from, regardless of how good a skier you are. Midweek skiing is never very busy, you will pass someone every 5-10 minutes on the trails. You will almost always find at least 2 or more people in the warming hut (there are plenty of places to sit down). The employees inside the sales and ski rental building are very nice and down to earth. You can ask them anything (about skiing). They are very knowledgeable and won't make you feel like a four-year-old for asking them even basic questions, and they know the answer to the hardest skiing question you can think of. Just go, you won't be disappointed!

My first experience here was on 1/3/2026. It was amazing! Snow was pristine. I started with skate in morning then switched to classic in the afternoon. I love the amount and variety of trail difficulty. Plenty of trails to fill your day; I wasn't able to ski them all in a single day. Definitely one of my best xc ski experiences ever! I can't wait for a return trip!

Your destination for 5* Nordic skiing. We are from the Ural Mountains - Galina Kulakova, Vyleghzhanin, Ivan Tcherezov (and Tchaikovsky as well, but he is not olympic ski champion, he was Nutcracker author). We were advanced skiers before. Was looking for "hard trails". And found it here - Cry baby, Roller coaster. Great grooming. Great and very warm personel. Great ski lessons for my kid. Will definitely return back next year!

Enter as strangers, leave as friends! This is more than just a sign on the wall inside their albeit small main building. The owners, staff, and volunteers welcome all levels of skiers to their basic family lodge turned ski shop and treat you like part of the family. With that comes small bathroom facilities, a comfy couch and a unique drying rack for your gloves and hat above the stove. Equally remarkable is the variety of trails, masterfully laid out by the late David Forbush, and the quality grooming and track setting that the crew maintain. All this makes it worth the little farther drive and little more money for the exceptional experience. I fell in love with Homerun Hill and will be back to do Deadman's Drop again. COVID happened and this place adapted along the way and seems to be thriving with the yurt and new land acquisition and hopes to expand their state of the art snow making to cover more trails. My family has insisted on joining me now and enjoys making a picnic lunch in the yurt, climbing home run hill and being remembered by the friendly faces that set them up with great rental equipment every year.
